City fo Elko Public Works

The City of Elko Street Department is responsible for maintaining the various streets and roadways within the City limits of the City of Elko. This maintenance includes; patching potholes; weed control; street sweeping; blading of gravel roads; watering gravel roads; "Peel & Pave" projects; overlays; painting stripes, crosswalks and other traffic markings; traffic signs; and snow removal and sanding.

In addition to maintaining City roadways, the Street Department is also responsible for perimeter fence repairs; storm drain maintenance and repairs maintaining the downtown corridor parking lots; emptying City trash cans in various locations throughout the City; Fall Leaf Collection; and Christmas Tree Collection.

The Street Department also participates in special projects when approved by the Elko City Council.
