The City of Elko is committed to following open, fair and accurate bidding procedures to provide its citizens with a responsive process that will ensure the performance standards to which it expects.  The City is governed in its process through Nevada Revised Statutes sections 332 for “Local Governments Purchasing” and 338 for “Public Works Projects”.  Bid packages are dispersed through the Elko City Clerk’s office, 1751 College Avenue, Elko, NV. 89801 (775)777-7126.

You may obtain a copy of the bid specifications through the City Clerk’s office, 1751 College Avenue, Elko, Nevada 89801, by calling (775)777-7126, through the hyperlink provided above, or e-mail your request to cityclerk@ci.elko.nv.us.

Q:        Who do I contact for specific technical questions regarding individual bid specifications?
A:        The “Instruction to Bidders” section of each specification will indicate a contact person and phone number depending on the Department for which the project is being completed.

The Annual Application for Bidders List from the hyperlink above indicates the City requirements to become an eligible bidder.   All applicable Federal, State, and local licenses and bonds will be verified before bids are awarded.  The City also has a number of safety requirements that will be included in the bid specifications relative to the scope of the project.

Q:          How do I get placed on a bidders list?
A:         
Provide a completed Annual Application for Bidders List to the Public Works Department, 1751 College Avenue, Elko, Nevada 89801 or via fax (775)777-7119.  All applications must be submitted with a signature and proof of licensing, bonding, and industrial insurance prior to bid open dates.
